An excellent opportunity has become available for a Director of Corporate Affairs with a semi-state organisation responsible for leading the organisation's corporate affairs function, encompassing corporate strategy, public affairs, sustainability, strategic communications, and customer and stakeholder engagement.
The role is responsible for driving execution of the organisation's strategic priorities, providing strategic advice to the executive team, strengthening relationships with key external stakeholders, and ensuring a customer-focused and sustainable approach is embedded across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of organisational strategy, translating priorities into measurable outcomes.
- Provide leadership across corporate strategy, public affairs, communications, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with government, regulators, industry bodies, customers and other key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice to the executive team on policy, reputation, stakeholder engagement and emerging risks and opportunities.
- Lead strategic communications and enhance the organisation's external profile and reputation.
- Embed customer and stakeholder perspectives into organisational planning and decision-making.
- Champion sustainability by integrating ESG principles into strategy and operations.
- Lead, develop and inspire high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and organisational capability.
About You
- Significant senior leadership experience within a complex, regulated or infrastructure-intensive environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate strategy, public affairs, communications, stakeholder engagement and/or sustainability.
- Strong understanding of government, public policy and regulatory environments.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience leading strategic communications and managing organisational reputation.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial judgement and decision-making capability.
- A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
