We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join a Finance Transformation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and a passion for driving business insights through data-driven solutions. This role will involve working closely with clients, primarily in the banking and insurance sectors, to define data models, build prototypes, refine data for dashboards, and create performance measurement pieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and define robust data models that support financial transformation initiatives.
- Build and test data prototypes to validate the effectiveness of data models and ensure they meet business requirements.
- Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and visualization, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Develop interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights into financial performance, risk management, and other key metrics.
- Create and implement performance measurement frameworks to track progress towards business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
- Build automated data pipelines to streamline data collection, processing, and delivery, enabling efficient data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges, providing tailored data solutions and recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant data analysis tools.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working in a consulting environment, ideally with a focus on financial services.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with financial data and regulatory reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
- Certifications in data analysis or related fields.
