    We are currently recruiting for a Communications Executive on behalf of our public sector client. This is initially a 6 month contract.

    The role requires a collaborative individual with experience in communications. The candidate should be able to work flexibly and contribute to various aspects of the Agency's communications efforts.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assisting the Communications Manager in implementing the Communications Strategy.
    • Supporting the Communications Manager in preparation and running of stakeholder meetings, particularly the Community Liaison Committee and Consultative Group.
    • Preparation of material - both written and visual - for digital and hard copy newsletters, annual reports and other promotional or informational materials/documents.
    • Assisting the Communications Manager with community engagement and consultation processes.
    • Ensuring content is accurate and kept up to date on the GDA website.
    • Developing social media engagement plans
    • Contributing to the development of communication plans for specific projects, programmes, and events.
    • Assisting in ensuring the GDA brand is embedded internally across all aspects of the Agency's work
    • Preparation of marketing material to support the Project Coordinators in publicising the various projects.
    • Assist in organisation and coordination of events whether online or in-person, including, but not limited to Ministerial visits, information sessions, panel discussions, tours, public art launches.
    • Coordinating photo opportunities, monitoring permissions, and reviewing photographic archive to ensure appropriate use.
    • Act as a first point of contact for enquiries from media, local community, elected representatives, individuals, and other organisations and provide timely and helpful responses.
    • Monitoring and evaluating GDA media coverage and circulate as appropriate.
    • Researching, writing and assisting in distributing press releases to targeted media on the Grangegorman Project.
    • Minute-taking of meetings and follow up with actions and queries through Communications email.
    • Engage with and support the Public Art programme, Grangegorman Histories and the Grangegorman Labour and Learning Forum.
    • Represent the Agency at third party events.
    • On/off site, remote (including some out of hours) audio, image and video news capture and gathering.
    • Researching and providing reports on relevant issues and projects.
    • Provide support to the GDA team in other tasks where needed

    Role Requirements

    • Have a qualification of at least a Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Journalism, Multimedia/Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
    • A minimum of two years' experience in communications related role.
    • Experience using and updating social media - such as Twitter (X), Facebook,
    • LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram for professional purposes,
    • Excellent written communication skills,
    • Be capable of presenting material in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner,
    • Accuracy and attention to detail,
    • Excellent IT skills,
    • Experience of assisting at launches or events.
    • Ability to use photographic and recording equipment,
    • Knowledge of using a web platform i.e., WordPress or similar,
    • Experience of using creative software or assisting in the creation of promotional materials,
    • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud software such as PhotoShop, Lightroom,
    • InDesign or other creative software,
    • Experience of community consultation in relation to urban regeneration and building projects,
    • A knowledge of communication trends and evaluation tools
