Morgan McKinley are partnering with a leading state body to recruit a Business Application Support Administrator on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract!
In this role, you will report to the Senior Application Support Team Lead and play a vital part in delivering high-quality support for their business applications. You'll act as a key resource for both internal and external clients, addressing inquiries with professionalism and expertise. This role involves analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving application issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for users, handling inquiries and support requests via phone and email.
- Oversee the full life cycle of application-related issues and requests, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and effective support, addressing issues efficiently to maintain high client satisfaction.
- Work closely with the IT team and external vendors to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Log and monitor support tickets through Helpdesk software, prioritising urgent queries.
- Exceed service level agreements (SLAs) by proactively managing and escalating incidents.
- Communicate regular updates to clients and management regarding ongoing issues and resolutions.
- Identify opportunities for process and technology improvements based on user feedback.
- Manage user access and security permissions following best practices.
- Participate in business change requests and contribute to process improvements within Operations.
Requirements
Essential:
- Education & Experience: A third-level qualification and/or 3+ years' experience in a similar support role.
- Technical Support Experience: Familiarity with troubleshooting and resolving client technical issues.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities, discretion with confidential information.
Desirable:
- ITIL Certification in ITSM (e.g., Incident, Problem & Change Management).
- Project Management Skills to support new application testing and developments.
- DMS and Tableau Experience for document management and data visualisation.
