A leading manufacturing facility is undertaking a uniform program transformation across its site to address operational, compliance, comfort, and workforce engagement challenges.
The project will involve reviewing the current uniform system, engaging with employees and stakeholders, selecting or improving uniform solutions, and implementing a scalable program across the site.
We are seeking a Project Manager with a social science or behavioral background who can effectively manage both operational logistics and workforce engagement during the rollout.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end uniform program project, from discovery through implementation.
- Develop and manage the project plan, timeline, milestones, and reporting cadence.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, HR, Procurement, Health & Safety, and facility leadership.
Workforce Engagement
- Conduct workforce consultation and research to understand uniform challenges such as comfort, fit, durability, cultural considerations, and role-specific needs.
- Facilitate focus groups, interviews, and surveys with employees.
- Translate insights into practical uniform program improvements.
- Vendor & Product Coordination
- Work with suppliers and procurement to evaluate uniform options.
- Coordinate trials and testing.
- Manage vendor communications.
- Support selection and rollout of improved uniform solutions.
Implementation & Change Management
- Plan and execute the uniform rollout strategy across the facility.
- Develop clear communication and change management plans.
- Ensure minimal disruption to operations.
Data & Insights
- Collect and analyse feedback and usage data.
- Identify behavioural and organisational drivers affecting adoption.
- Provide recommendations for long-term program sustainability.
Reporting
- Provide regular updates to project sponsors and leadership.
- Deliver a final project report with insights, outcomes, and recommendations.
Requirenents:
- Degree in Social Sciences, such as Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Human Factors / Behavioural Science, or Organisational Studies.
- Equivalent experience in workforce research or organisational programs.
- 5+ years experience in project management or program delivery.
- Experience working in manufacturing, operations, industrial, or large workforce environments.
- Experience conducting workforce research or employee engagement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder projects.
