1. Position Summary
The Warehouse Operative / Driver is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement, storage, and dispatch of goods across company warehouses. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and effective management of pick lists and inventory. The position also involves operating warehouse equipment safely and performing scheduled deliveries using a company vehicle.
2. Key Responsibilities
Goods In & Storage

Unload deliveries, check items against purchase orders, and store products in designated areas.

Ensure warehouse space is optimised and goods are stored for easy accessibility.
Order Fulfilment

Manage and prioritise pick lists efficiently.

Accurately pick, pack, and label customer orders for dispatch.

Prepare and dispatch orders promptly with all required documentation (e.g., shipping labels, packing slips).
Inventory Management

Assist with stock taking and inventory checks.

Record stock movements accurately and report discrepancies.

Maintain proper stock rotation and compliance with company procedures.
Equipment & Vehicle Operation

Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks, and other machinery (training provided).

Operate company delivery vehicles to complete scheduled inter-warehouse deliveries.

Ensure timely and accurate transfer of inventory materials in line with SOPs, GMP, and safety protocols.
Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all health and safety guidelines, including correct use of PPE.

Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas in line with 5S principles.

Adhere to company SOPs, warehouse policies, and order fulfilment procedures.
Collaboration & Maintenance

Work closely with warehouse team members to meet deadlines and productivity targets.

Support general warehouse upkeep, including cleaning duties and waste disposal.

Report potential issues in warehouse operations and suggest solutions.
3. Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
Essential:

Valid B Class driver's licence for operating company delivery vehicles.

Ability to follow instructions and pick lists with accuracy.

Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items over extended periods.

Good teamwork and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of health & safety practices in a warehouse setting.

Problem-solving skills to identify and address operational issues.
Desirable:

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution role.

Forklift licence or willingness to undergo training.

Experience working with SOPs, GMP, or ISO standards.
