Senior Civil Design Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Cork, Ireland

A medium-sized civil engineering and project management company in Cork is looking for a Senior Civil Design Engineer who's ready to take on a mix of technical design work and hands-on project management. The company specialises in residential and educational projects and is known for long-standing client relationships and a supportive team atmosphere.

What You'll Do

• Lead civil engineering design for residential and educational developments (roads, drainage, services, site layouts, etc.).
• Review drawings, calculations, and design reports, and support junior team members.
• Manage projects from early concept to completion, keeping timelines, budgets, and quality on track.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, local authorities, and design team members.
• Over time, take responsibility for some of the firm's key clients and bring their projects from start to finish.

What You'll Need

• Degree in Civil Engineering and 7+ years' experience in civil design.
• Strong design skills with experience in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
• Good communication and ability to work directly with clients.
• Project management experience and confidence coordinating a design team.
• Chartered (or working toward chartership) is a bonus.
