SecOp Engineer

My client is looking for a SecOp Engineer with a minimum of 2 years experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Triage and resolve incidents, problems, and operational issues across security platforms.
• Assist with major incident management, communication, and post-incident reviews.
• Execute operational runbooks, maintenance activities, and health checks.
• Develop and implement automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and error conditions.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in IT operations, system/network administration, or security operations.
• Hands-on experience with network security, endpoint security, logging, and security tools.
• Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Knowledge of IT service management processes, incident, and change management.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
