Quality Manager
Location: Cork
Due to continued growth, our client, a leading aerospace MRO organisation, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their Cork operation. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a highly regulated aviation environment, offering the chance to shape, lead and continuously enhance an independent quality and compliance function.
The Opportunity
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and continuously improving the organisation's independent Quality and Compliance Monitoring system in accordance with European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-145 requirements and other applicable regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an independent audit system to monitor compliance with Part-145 and internal procedures
- Develop, implement and continuously improve the Compliance Monitoring and Safety Management Systems
- Provide periodic safety performance reports to the Safety Review Board
- Ensure contracted maintenance organisations and suppliers comply with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Oversee the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), including revisions, regulatory submissions and distribution control
- Submit regulatory documentation and amendments to the competent authority for approval (including EASA Form 2 as required)
- Issue, renew and cancel Part-145 certification authorisations and control inspection stamps
- Promote customer requirement awareness throughout the organisation
- Lead, develop and maintain competency within the Quality team
- Liaise with regulators, manufacturers and customers on quality and compliance matters
- Monitor customer complaints and drive defect analysis and corrective actions
Candidate Profile
- Recognised qualification in Engineering, Science or Quality Systems
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an Engineering and/or Quality environment
- Formal training equivalent to Part-145 Safety Management level
- Strong working knowledge of aviation regulatory frameworks (Part-145 essential)
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
