Role Overview

The Quality, Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards across all operational areas, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and leading the development and continuous improvement of quality and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and embed a strong quality and safety culture across the site
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality and health & safety performance
- Engage with staff to enhance awareness, training, and adherence to best practices
- Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant ISO standards and health & safety legislation
- Maintain and improve management systems and processes
- Lead internal and external audits, including management reviews
- Oversee corrective and preventative action programmes
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Identify and manage risks, implementing appropriate control measures
- Oversee accident and incident investigations, ensuring follow-up actions are completed
- Coordinate safety audits and implement improvements based on findings
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality and health & safety matters
- Ensure procedures are followed and updated as required
- Conduct regular inspections and compliance checks
- Prepare reports and analyse data to support decision-making
- Deliver training on quality and health & safety topics
- Support wider business projects as required
Skills & Experience
- Relevant qualification in quality, compliance, or a related discipline
- Experience working with ISO standards (internal auditing experience advantageous)
- Exposure to health & safety systems and processes
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within quality management
- Experience in manufacturing environments preferred; exposure to regulated industries is beneficial
- Strong experience in audits, inspections, investigations, and reporting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Confident in engaging and motivating others
- Proficient in IT systems and digital tools for managing quality and safety processes
- Full driving licence
