Permanent opportunity available with a Cork-based client. Flexible onsite arrangements - 2 days per week. 35-hour working week with a focus on work/life balance. This role will sit under the service management area of the client, ensuring for quality IT ecosystems within the organisation.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding at the administrator level of the primary technologies supporting mobile devices, such as Intune and Workspace One.
- Oversee front-line support processes for mobility-related incidents, problems, and changes.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on device configuration and deployment procedures.
- Lead or participate in IT projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing service and global business processes, offering SME input as needed.
- Manage high-impact issues and outage events, including executing second-level problem resolution for more complex problems.
- Conduct regular reviews of live environments to identify trends or underlying issues that could lead to problems.
- Supervise and support the IT service desk and on-site deskside teams.
- Assist with communication and documentation related to changes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Generate KPI reports on changes and problems, including their trends.
- Oversee procurement and asset management processes for mobile devices and peripherals.
- Provide out-of-hours coverage as part of the Standby Rota, supporting team participation and engaging in after-hours work as required.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the organisation, including IT Operations & Project Teams, end-users, and project teams across the business.
- Promote and uphold health and safety commitments across the organisation and its supply chain, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Support the Transformation Programme, contributing to the achievement of objectives within the Directorate and organisation-wide.
- Fulfil any other duties as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Familiarity with ITIL methodologies and implementations is desirable.
- Experience with device management tools such as Intune, Workspace One, etc., is advantageous.
- Proficiency in ITSM tools like ServiceNow is preferred.
- Relevant third-level qualification or accreditation is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in water, utilities, or similar industries is preferred, or relevant experience
- Highly motivated individual committed to delivering results within a team environment, upholding professional standards.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of identifying and analysing problems, proposing solutions, and implementing improvements.
- Demonstrated adaptability, aligning focus and direction with business strategy and requirements.
