The Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing the engineering and maintenance operations within the facility. The role involves ensuring that all equipment and machinery operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all production machinery and equipment.
- Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of breakdowns to maintain high levels of production efficiency.
- Implement best practices in maintenance management to enhance equipment reliability and extend asset life.
- Manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades, new installations, and facility expansions.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production costs.
- Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues affecting output or product quality.
- Analyze data and KPIs to monitor equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering qualification, preferably mechanical.
- 5 years of experience in engineering and maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation systems.
- Proficient in maintenance management systems (CMMS) and project management tools.
