As the business implements one of Ireland's first AutoStore systems - a world-class automated storage and retrieval solution - we are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Warehouse Operations & Systems to lead this evolution.
This is a pivotal, senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with full responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic management of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with proven experience in warehouse automation, process optimisation, and multi-channel fulfilment operations.
As the AutoStore installation reaches completion (May/June), the successful candidate will lead its integration across all warehouse systems, physical flows, and team structures. This role is central to creating a high-performing, tech-enabled fulfilment operation that scales with the business's future ambitions.
You will drive operational excellence, lead a 15+ person team, and champion a data-driven, quality-focused culture built on continuous improvement.
Lead the successful implementation and integration of AutoStore into warehouse operations.
Develop and drive the warehouse automation and optimisation strategy, including layout redesign and system integration.
Introduce data-led practices for labour planning, quality control, and performance tracking.
Manage all daily warehouse activities, ensuring service excellence, safety, and operational accuracy.
Inspire, lead, and grow a high-performing warehouse team aligned to KPIs and company goals.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through systems and process enhancement.
Deliver regular operational and performance updates to the CEO.
Oversee logistics, inventory management, and goods movement processes.
Lead Lean and process optimisation initiatives across the operation.
Support commercial contract and vendor relationship management as required.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior warehouse or supply chain leadership role.
Proven experience in implementing warehouse systems and physical automation solutions.
Experience with AutoStore or similar AS/RS technology highly advantageous.
Strong background in ERP and WMS integration and optimisation.
Skilled in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and people development abilities.
Strategic mindset with strong project management and analytical skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Degree in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field preferred (but not essential).
