    Company Overview:
    An established, privately-owned chemical manufacturer serving the food, beverage, agricultural, and industrial hygiene sectors across Ireland.

    Role Overview:
    The company are seeking a skilled Formulation Chemist to join their R&D team, working primarily within the agri-food and industrial cleaning sectors. This role involves the development of new formulations and the improvement of existing products, focusing on cleaning, descaling, and disinfection chemistries. The successful candidate will contribute to both research and quality control functions, reporting directly to the Technical Director.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments for product development and improvement.
    • Develop stable, cost-effective formulations to meet performance specifications.
    • Collaborate with QC and production teams to ensure smooth scale-up and manufacturing integration.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses using standard laboratory techniques.
    • Support stability testing, formula optimization, and the implementation of new testing methods.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and project records.

    Required Qualifications & Experience:

    • BSc (minimum) or MSc (preferred) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
    • Prior experience in formulation chemistry, particularly within the chemical, agri-food, or hygiene sectors, is an advantage.
    • Strong practical knowledge of wet chemistry techniques.
    • Proficient in data analysis and familiar with standard lab instrumentation and protocols.
    • Computer literate and numerate with good documentation practices.
