Lead Accountant - North Cork - Permanent
Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with one of Europe's leading food companies in the search for a Lead Accountant to join their Finance Team in Cork.
As the lead accountant you will work closely with the Financial Controller and management team to achieve company targets and objectives. You will be involved with the management and financial accounting processes and assist with monitoring and implementing accounting controls, in addition to this you will have exposure across all business units and engage with key stakeholders.
Ideal professional will be a fully qualified accountant with 2 years post qualification experience, an individual who can work independently and is eager to work closely with the business.
Responsibilities:
· Preparing and completing weekly management accounts
· Prepare monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements
· Work with the Finance Team to ensure that the team delivers a comprehensive and professional service to all stakeholders
· Set targets for and supervise finance personal in the completion of their duties including the development and mentoring of junior staff
· Contribute to the improvement of Group Reporting systems & information.
· Assist with any ad-hoc project activities
Requirements:
· Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and good technical skills
