Finance Business Partner - Onsite - Permanent - Cork
My client is looking for a commercially focused, qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years' industry experience to join our team as a Finance Business Partner, reporting to the Finance Director.
The Role
In this pivotal role, you'll act as the finance lead across operations, working closely with site teams to drive performance, strengthen controls, and provide insight that informs decision-making. You'll prepare and present monthly operational packs, analyse KPIs and variances, challenge costs, lead budgeting and forecasting, and support capex approvals, audits, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as finance lead in operational meetings, ensuring clear actions and follow-up.
- Prepare and present monthly performance packs, including KPI and variance analysis.
- Drive cost control and efficiency, challenging assumptions and highlighting opportunities.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes for operations.
- Manage capex proposals, internal audits, and process compliance across sites.
- Support tenders, procurement, and external audit requirements.
- Deliver accurate management accounts and contribute to wider group reporting.
About You
- Qualified accountant with 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in challenging assumptions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, hands-on, multi-site environment.
