Morgan McKinley is delighted to bring this new and exciting leading opportunity to market. This Data Architect position is a permanent post within a growing Artificial Intelligence & Data Team.
This role will offer you the chance to work with a variety of clients and technologies in a challenging and exciting environment with scope for personal development and on-going training. This team designs and builds architectures, automates processes, creates interactive visualizations, identifies patterns, develops predictive models, and uses AI technologies to extract actionable insights from data.
Responsibilities:
- Scope, design and lead in the implementation of effective data solutions and models, using latest open source and proprietary technologies, our alliance network, best in class methods and tools, and by leveraging our global network (Projects could include: Data Strategy, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data on Cloud, Data Architecture etc.)
- Design data models and ETL processes
- Develop technical specifications and architecture designs for data storage and management based on industry standard scalable, distributed and enterprise grade solutions using technologies like Cloudera Hadoop and Databricks
- Ensure data security and integrity are intrinsic to the architected design
- Lead data analysts and data engineers in the implementation of effective solutions aligned to the target architecture
- Lead client engagement work in a variety of industries, areas and specialisms
- Nurture strong client relationships that build trust and grow opportunities
- Coach and mentor junior team members, aligning role responsibilities to their own learning objectives and needs
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a third level degree in Maths, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Experience leading and motivating teams, that ensures best outcomes along with ability to work effectively within an inclusive team to achieve common goals
- Experience leading and delivering data related projects
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders, providing quality advice based on extensive knowledge and leading industry practices
- Familiar with best practice project management methods, tools and techniques
- Commercial experience in an information/data management role
- Good to have experience of implementing enterprise grade data architecture on technologies like Cloudera CDP, Azure Databricks and Cloud native environments
