My client is looking for a Data Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join their organisation in Cork. This is a permanent role.
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Data Analyst, working with complex datasets to deliver actionable business insights.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets, data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, statistical concepts, data modelling, and data quality principles.
- Experience working with Excel and/or Python for data analysis, reporting, and automation.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into meaningful analysis, reports, and dashboards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to provide clear and accurate business performance insights.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate recurring analysis, and enhance data accessibility across the organisation.
- Monitor key business and operational metrics, providing analysis and recommendations to support strategic and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other technical teams to improve data availability, quality, and reporting capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, helping to communicate data-driven insights in a clear and impactful way.
