Construction Estimator - Cork

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join one of Ireland's leading building and civil engineering main contractors with multiple high profile projects in Cork and the South East

Position: Construction Estimator

Location: Cork

Salary : €60-70k DOE plus bonus,pension and car allowance

The main responsibilities include:

• Preparing and collating accurate, detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities
• Secure profitable work orders
• Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.
• Assist in the ongoing development of systems and procedures used in tendering
• Keep up to date with contractual changes and other developments in the construction industry

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience in an estimator/QS based role
• Third level qualification in a Construction/Engineering related discipline
• Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS office suite and QS related software packages
• Ability to work well within a large team of PM's, engineers and other estimators
