We're looking for a Clerical Officer to join a busy medical team in Mallow. This is a full time contract role suited to someone who's highly organised, detail focused, and thrives in a fast paced administrative environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update waiting lists, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients and clinicians.
- Communicate directly with patients via phone and email, providing updates and confirmations.
- Liaise with consultants and team members to coordinate pre and post appointment details.
- Organise appointment logistics and ensure patients are booked at the most suitable location.
- Validate appointments, follow up on cancellations or changes, and keep systems updated.
- Handle sensitive or challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records in line with confidentiality and data protection standards.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous administrative experience, ideally in healthcare, the public sector, or a customer facing role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional phone manner.
- Comfortable managing challenging conversations and expectations calmly and empathetically.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel, with strong scheduling and data entry skills.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to prioritise effectively in a busy setting.
