Great opportunity to join a growing and dynamic business in Cork City. This role will play a pivotal role in managing both the financial and operational functions of the business.
The ideal person for this role, will have previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant and also enjoy managing a busy office. This blended role requires someone with strong organisational skills who can coordinate the operational tasks of the office while maintaining the keys finances.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Ensure that all books and records are kept up-to-date on a timely basis.
- Perform monthly account reconciliation and prepare related financial reports for management review.
- Manage the invoicing process, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Perform and monitor bank deposits and transfers.
- Maintain an orderly and efficient financial filing system.
- Track credit card and expense charges, including handling payment discrepancies and miscellaneous charges.
Operational Management:
- Coordinate and manage the administrative functions, including human resources, office facilities, and handling IT and key supplier relationships.
- Oversee office facilities and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Manage the stock-taking of office supplies and canteen inventory, placing orders as needed.
- Administer the annual leave calendar and other HR-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including data protection (GDPR), confidentiality, and professional standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced and dynamic office environment is essential.
- Accounting Knowledge: Previous experience in basic accounting and bookkeeping is essential
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and general IT capabilities.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring high-quality results are delivered on time.
- Proactivity: A proactive and responsive nature, with a positive and common-sense approach to problem-solving.
