Our Client is urgently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their established team onsite in their West Cork office. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in the financial operations of a growing company, ensuring robust systems and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing payments, receipts, and invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Generating sales invoices.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts using Sage50.
- Reconciling the bank account and cash for other operational activities.
- Maintaining and updating a Microsoft Access database.
- Managing the company's debtors and creditors to optimise working capital.
- Ensuring the company is tax compliant for Relevant Contracts Tax (RCT) and VAT.
- Maintaining robust and compliant financial systems.
- Liaising with foresters nationwide to assist with costings, returns, grant applications, and other ad hoc queries.
- Communicating effectively with foresters and the Department of Agriculture regarding forestry grants.
- Ensuring timely communication with all clients.
Key Requirements:
- 2-3 Years Experience in a similar role within the Irish market
- Knowledge of SAGE50 is essential to
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel and Adest desired
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail in all financial tasks.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise key functions.
- Technically strong with the ability to leverage financial data to drive business performance.
- Good communication skills for liaising internally and externally.
