New accounts assistant role working 5 days on site in Cork.
This accounts assistant will support the finance team in carrying out day-to-day accounting duties. This role is key to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, assisting with month-end close, and maintaining proper financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and expense claims.
- Maintain accurate supplier and customer ledgers.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring.
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Assist in credit control, including issuing reminders and following up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and records.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding finance queries.
- Assist with audits, year-end accounts, and other compliance requirements.
- Perform ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
