    About the job

    Our client, a well-established and globally recognised organisation within the manufacturing space, is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their international finance team based in Shannon. This is a key role offering broad exposure across financial reporting and compliance within a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Review management accounts
    • Lead month-end close processes, including consolidated management accounts and supporting schedules
    • Manage intercompany reconciliations and act as key liaison with global finance teams
    • Take ownership of audit processes (group and entity level), working closely with internal and external auditors
    • Prepare audit files and support corporation tax computations
    • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements including sales tax, payroll and corporate taxes
    • Support preparation and submission of indirect tax returns
    • Oversee Accounts Receivable function, including credit control, cash application and bad debt review
    • Maintain AR master data and ensure strong collaboration with regional sales teams
    • Review revenue accounting and perform monthly revenue-to-forecast analysis
    • Manage FX rate reporting and related financial adjustments
    • Drive process improvements and contribute to finance-related projects

    Candidate Profile

    • Fully qualified accountant
    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of Irish and US GAAP
    • Experience with financial systems (ERP experience advantageous)
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall IT proficiency
    • Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience in process improvement and project work is desirable
