A great role for a Bid Manager to work in the construction sector
An environmental and renewable engineering contractor is looking for a bid manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Waterford or remotely from home. This is an excellent role if you are looking to gain responsibility for a much broader role and it is an opportunity for someone to develop their career autonomously in a stand-alone role.
You will report and liaise directly into Directors and the financial department to complete bids.
Complete tenders and proposals for the water services construction industry particularly in water and wastewater treatment sectors.
Preparing and reviewing commercial aspects of the bid.
Manage budget and ensure timely delivery.
Track and effectively manage issues and risks throughout the bid process.
Contribute to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation.
Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract award.
Manage the handover process (to Operations) for all won opportunities.
Perform a critical review of Bid processes to identify areas of further efficiency.
Ideally degree educated.
A least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Must be able to work on own initiative.
Experience of the Irish bidding process is a distinct advantage.
Highly competent in administrative skills and computer literacy.
Excellent communication skills.
