Job Description

Digital and Assistive Technology Lead - Surrey - Are you interested in assistive technology? Are you looking for a new role to help within health and social care?

Do you have expert-level knowledge of current or emerging digital and assistive technology solutions?

Have you previously researched, and sourced technology to meet evidenced need in the special educational needs (SEN) sector?

Reporting into a Clinical Lead and with close links to the Marketing and IT teams, this is an exciting opportunity for a newly created role to lead on our clients inclusion and assistive technology programme within their Research and Development Framework.

The Role

Duties Include

  • Build and maintain an up-to-date assessment of digital/assistive technology needs.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of current or emerging digital/assistive technology solutions.
  • Research and source technology to meet evidenced need
  • Train staff and people we support how to use digital/assistive technology solutions.
  • Manage our organisational 'resource library' of digital/assistive technology.
  • Provide expert advice on potential digital/assistive technology requirements.
  • Ensure that use of digital/assistive technology meets all relevant policies and guidance, including but not limited to Health and Safety, GDPR and insurance policies.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate;

Excellent organisational skills

Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, including those with learning or physical disabilities that may impact their communication

Strong understanding of strengths-based, person-centred care

Educated to A-Level or equivalent, e.g. NVQ level 3/4

Must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.
