Job Description

The role will involve working with the Bio, Wind and Solar the asset management teams, managing a portfolio of solar and wind assets in Northern Ireland.

This role will be responsible for a number of renewable energy (both solar and wind) projects in Northern Ireland working from the Dublin office. This is a hybrid role with an opportunity to work from home.

The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the company by attending and contributing to various internal and external meetings including team meetings, asset management meetings and Board meetings.

He or she will work with the wider Asset Management team to develop best in class standards for asset management.

They will also actively contribute to the success of the wider business.

Responsible for all aspects of allocated assets, including but not limited to:

  • Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance - setting and agreeing targets, monitoring performance against those targets and - where required - implementing action plans to improve performance
  • Assisting in the preparation, agreement, and control of project operational budgets. Monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management including operational performance and financial performance against budgets, cashflows and P&L
  • Managing the investigation, diagnosis and resolution of operational issues including liaising with external asset managers and deep dive analysis on performance data where required
  • Identifying operational risks through robust operational analysis and agreeing and implementing solutions to resolve or mitigate such risks
  • Contract management and administration e.g. external asset management contracts, operations & maintenance, power purchase agreement, insurance etc.
  • Continuously looking to optimise and improve asset performance both commercially and technically - focusing on production, revenue and OPEX.
  • Engaging and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders e.g., statutory authorities, landowners, grid networks etc.
  • Assisting the team to manage obligations following new acquisitions, including punch list items, repair processes or similar issues
  • Site visits and inspections where required

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. Under the Financial Conduct Authority's Senior Manager & Certification Regime, this role will be within scope of the Financial Conduct Authority's Conduct Rules.

  • 5+years' experience in renewables or engineering would be advantageous
  • Empathetic and able to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Well organised and a good project manager
  • Collaborative, flexible, and supportive
  • Self-motivated, committed to performing well, and eager to develop
  • Experience of using Microsoft office suite
  • Right to work in Ireland & the UK.
