Business Analyst - Senior Manager

Purpose of your role

You will play a leading role in the Business Analysis team, engaging with stakeholders at all levels to conduct business analysis. You will principally be engaged in the strategic transformation but at times may also play a role in supporting smaller pieces of discretionary or regulatory change.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in business analysis tasks; work with stakeholders to identify, analyse and document project requirements and structure work accordingly
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current state challenges, their root causes and future state requirements and to develop detailed future state designs
  • Work closely with members of the Operating Model Design team to turn high level visions into detailed designs
  • Coordinate with programme and project leads to ensure that these designs are appropriate to be handed over for technology and business implementation
  • Communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Analyse complex problems and produce clear options / recommendations on how to proceed
  • Collaborate effectively across the front to back Investment Management landscape globally to support the change management process
  • Create clear work plans and support project / programme managers to provide regular reporting on progress to management, project sponsors and steering committees
  • Support the Business Analysis team lead in further developing and using standard tools and approaches, and in developing the team
  • You may also be asked to oversee the work of a small number of other members of the team

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Significant business analysis experience within an asset management organisation
  • Deep experience of process and capability mapping
  • Experience of working with and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Ability to act as a business advocate with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An excellent understanding of the tools and techniques required for effective business analysis
  • Ability to enable informed decision-making at all levels, including supporting senior stakeholder decision making at steering committees or similar governance forums
  • Understanding of the role of target operating models in the design process
  • Ability to facilitate effective workshops
  • Ability to work under pressure or to tight deadlines
  • Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity and draw out the issues to be addressed
  • Ability to proactively drive own workload and manage own time
