Medical Testing Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation whose focus is on developing its people, and ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent service solutions to its customers.

Reporting to the Senior Molecular Scientist, you will play a key role in supporting the Testing Business. This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract and you will carry out all administration associated with customer swabbing and PCR based testing, ensuring adherence with all data protection and quality procedures and health and safety practices.

Person Requirements

You are customer focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to get things done in a timely manner.

You demonstrate accountability, and can adapt quickly in line with business changes. You possess good organisational skills, strong attention to detail and you are a flexible, motivated team player.

  • Minimum of 1+ years' experience in a healthcare setting, working in a patient care role

  • Full clean driving license with access to your own vehicle as you will be required to travel as part of the role

  • Proven attention to detail and adherence to SOPs

  • Self motivated, team player willing to travel and work on a shift basis

  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and with changing circumstances

  • Time management skills with a focus on working to deadlines

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office

  • Experience working in an environment where PPE is required is desirable

Responsibilities

  • You will be provided with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and will prepare all necessary administrative material in advance of patient swabbing, and complete all administration tasks during the testing process by confirming patient name and contact details, label tubes and package swab tubes etc

  • Transport materials to and from the testing sites

  • Provide a high level of customer service

  • Support other administrative activities as required

  • Engage in pro-active communications with all stakeholders

  • Comply with obligations to protect patient Confidentiality and data at all times

  • Understand and adhere to all relevant policies, guidelines and procedures, comply with health and safety, infection control and risk management procedures
