The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations, ensuring the balance between supply and demand for our products. The role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and effective collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective supply chain management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement supply and demand planning strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, sales, and marketing to gather input and develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Analyze demand trends, sales data, and market intelligence to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities for improving forecast accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while ensuring product availability to meet customer demand.
- Lead S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings to review demand forecasts, inventory levels, production plans, and supply chain performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to the supply demand planning team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in supply chain management and demand planning.
Key requirements:
- 5 +years of experience in supply chain planning or demand planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
- Proficiency in using supply chain planning tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Demand Planning software).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices in supply chain management.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
