Job Description

We are currently hiring for a Assistant Staff Officer (Grade 4) Human Resources on a 3month contract basis with a government body based in Dublin.

This position is being offered on an initial 3 months contract and offering an hourly rate of €12.75 per hour.

The ideal person for this position will hold a minimum of 2 years exerience working in Recruitment & HR. Will have knowledge of Recruitment process including but not limited to liaising with hiring managers on job adverts, preparation of application forms, advertising jobs, shortlisting applications and organising interviews.

Experience with updating HR databases, managining leave requests to include statutory leave e.g maternity, paternity,
parental leave etc.and any other administration duties as required.

Main Duties

  • Management of recruitment process to include ensuring that hiring approval is in place, liaising with hiring managers on job adverts, preparation of application forms, advertising jobs, shortlisting applications, organising interviews, participating on interview panels where necessary.
  • Follow up on any administration to include preparation of offer letters, contracts of employment, associated new starter paperwork.
  • Up-dating HR database with starters, leaver information and changes
  • Dealing with leave requests to include statutory leave e.g maternity, paternity, parental leave etc.
  • Liaise with payroll on new starters, leavers and salary changes.
  • Carry out exit interviews
  • Dealing with queries from employees.
  • Assisting with general ad-hoc HR support and projects where needed
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files on all staff both online and paper and to be proficient in the HRIS.
  • Ensure clock in policy is applied
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently and adhered to.
  • Any other duties as may be required

Requirements:

  • 2 years+ experience with Recruitment and HR.
  • Relevant 3rd level Qualification and/or CIPD qualification
  • Proven track record of sourcing and attracting candidates
  • Experience maintaining a HRIS system
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Action oriented with proven administration, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to take on new activities and enhance current skillset
  • Proven ability to manage routine problems within scope of role
  • Proactive problem solving & ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Ability to build internal and external customer/client relations
  • Ability to project positive and professional image of the organisation in all contacts
