Job Description

A global technology company based in Dublin city is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on an initial 10 month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Review audit packs, direct and indirect tax returns, account reconciliations and other teamwork products
  • Provide assistance and guidance to entity leads managing Singapore entities (in some instances to the wider team), proactively working with them to resolve issues that may arise, including clearing obstacles and getting buy in from business partners
  • Work with the team in providing entity/country specific advice on new product launches Oversee and assist in the project management of outsourcing activities
  • Directly manage the relationship with external auditors with respect to the Singapore entity audits
  • Build robust analyses and models to drive cost efficiencies, identify and monitor value metrics, and influence purchasing processes to ensure financial stability and predictability
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly expense and headcount management reports, highlighting key insights and levers for the leadership team
  • Reviewing accounting entries and assessing provisions
  • Resolving queries with sales, legal and FP&A
  • Reconciliations and balance sheet analysis

Requirements

Essential

  • 8yrs + accounting experience
  • Professional qualification CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Relevant experience from accounting practice and/or public multinational high-tech companies with experience of process & strategic improvements
  • Must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of accounting principles, including US, UK and Irish GAAP, IFRS and related international accounting standards
  • Advanced Excel - able to use advanced functions such as Pivot and Vlookup (VBA not required)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in relevant experience
  • Solid financial experience, preferably in a FP&A role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review complex business issues and develop recommendations
  • Proven self-starter with strong problem-solving, project management and organisational experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to influence across the organisation and work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Familiar with ASC 606 and revenue recognition accounting
  • Ability to handle a varied and diverse workload, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness and a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to continuous process improvement
  • Team player who demonstrates strong drive for results, shows leadership, and possesses strong negotiating skills along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to lead and drive complex operational initiatives.
  • Experience of business partnering with strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Oracle/HFM and other billing systems
  • Knowledge of Hyperion a plus
