Job Description

Global organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive ERP knowledge and exposure to work on a Hard Brexit, Risk Mitigation Project

Day Rate Contract - 4 months with potential for extension

Remote - candidates must be based in and eligible to work in Ireland/UK/EU.

The project will entail implementing changes required to the IT landscape, testing and deploying new tax codes and rules to production for the 140 business entities and multiple ERPs to mitigate the business's risk associated with the UK exiting the EU's customs union and single market without a UK-EU trade agreement.

As the Senior IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for: project governance, planning, reporting, risk and issue management, budgeting and communication across teams and stakeholders. Liaising with multiple parties from end user, internal and external teams to C Level executives. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in delivering projects with significant business change.

Requirements

  • Relevant 3rd level Degree or equivalent work experience. Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is an advantage.
  • 10+ years relevant experience. Exposure to working with stakeholders from different countries and cultures is essential.
  • Extensive ERP systems exposure or knowledge is essential. Experience in an environment with multiple largescale ERPs is beneficial.
  • Enterprise application deployment experence in a complex multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of project management standards, methods, tools, and applications, and can make appropriate choices from alternatives.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is essential. You will be adept at communicating effectively, both formally through operational reviews / financial reviews and informally through storytelling and networking. Capable of working efficiently and effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • This position requires exceptional collaboration, teamwork, negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills at all levels with internal and external.
  • Proven ability to work with third party vendors to deliver global projects

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to Agile.
  • Project Management (PMI), Program Management, or Professional (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile methodologies certification
