Job Description

A commercial bank is looking for a System Administrator to join their team, supporting Linux/ Unix OS, storage and backup solutions.

Key Responsibility

• Plan, implement, configure and administrate servers, storage.
• Act as infrastructure focal point to support the implementation of business application systems
• Provide 3rd level of support for problem resolution in case escalated from outsourcing vendors.
• Provide performance tuning and capacity planning support.
• Evaluate and implement automation to improve the patching, capacity monitoring, configuration management and data backup/recovery management
• Assist to evaluate and standardize server, storage, middleware & database platform including hardware/software.
• Assist to plan the enhancement and refreshment of related technology infrastructure.
• Assist to define IT policy and standards pertaining to Unix/Linux, Middleware, Storage and Database.
• Support the Disaster Recovery Strategy.
• Enforce and execute problem and change management procedures.
• Configure and administrate SAN storage(Huawei, Hitachi, Netapp, 3Par, HP)
• Configure , administrate ,monitor Backup system(Commvault, Netbackup)
• Assist datacenter operation(hardware move in/out, arrange hardware replacement with supported vendors)
• Support the Disaster Recovery Strategy.

Role Requirements

• Experience in supporting Unix/Linux OS, Storage and Backup software(commvault, netbackup)
• Solid working experience on Solaris, AIX, Redhat Linux, Huawei storage
• Hands on knowledge in system integration implementation.
• Familiar with performance monitoring and recovery technique.
• Familiar with Cloud, Storage and Virtualization technology e.g. RHV Ovirt , LDOM , PowerVM
• WebSphere application server EOL upgrade and IBM Software consolidation
• Openshift patch and upgrade
• JBoss / Tomcat / Redis / Jetty upgrade and admin
• SAN upgrade and design
• Virtualization and OS admin
