Senior Accountant - Manufacturing

Overview:
A well-established manufacturing company is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Mississauga. You'll be a key member of the finance team, providing actionable insights that directly influence business decisions and growth. This role offers exposure to senior leadership, opportunities to lead important projects, and a clear path for progression into a Controller position.

Core Responsibilities:
As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Financial Reporting & Month-End: Execute month-end close procedures (cut-off, reconciliations including Bank, Balance Sheet, GL to Sub-ledger), prepare management reports, and support year-end audit documentation.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Analyze job gross profit and assist in major project ROI analysis and continuous improvement initiatives with the Director of Finance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, track performance, analyze variances, and prepare weekly Cash Flow and monthly Sales Forecasts.
- Cost Accounting & Inventory: Analyze actual vs. standard material and labor costs. Ensure accurate inventory reporting and manage the annual physical inventory count process, including reconciliation and reporting.
- System & Compliance: Maintain data integrity within the ERP system (Visual Manufacturing), prepare and file HST/tax returns, and assist with required regulatory compliance and surveys.
Qualifications:
- Accounting of Finance Degree
- CPA Designation (advantageous)
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Experience within the Manufacturing sector is key
- Preferred experience with Yardi or other real estate ERP systems.
