Financial Controller - Manufacturing | Essex County, ON

A well-established Canadian manufacturing company is searching for a Financial Controller to lead their finance function and play a key role in driving business performance.
They are looking for a candidate that brings a strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis, and takes a proactive, hands-on approach to streamlining processes and supporting key operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
As Financial Controller, you will:
- Oversee all financial reporting, accounting, and internal controls in compliance with ASPE.
 
- Manage full-cycle accounting including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and banking.
 
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions.
 
- Maintain and analyze costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing performance.
 
- Partner with operations to improve efficiency, margins, and profitability.
 
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while driving process improvements and best practices.
 
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) advantageous
 
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
 
- 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
 
- Experience within the manufacturing is ideal
 
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
