Accountant - 2 Month Contract Assignment

We are currently recruiting for an Accountant with manufacturing experience to join a Toronto-based organization on a short-term 2 month contract. This role is ideal for candidates who are available immediately and can quickly integrate into a busy finance team to provide hands-on accounting support.
This is a full-time temporary contract opportunity with a defined 2-month term.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile journal entries and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support AP/AR and cash reconciliations as needed
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Perform cost accounting activities including inventory analysis, reconciliations, and variance reporting
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Provide ad hoc support to the finance team during a busy period
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- CPA designation or active pursuit of CPA is an asset
- Previous contract experience is highly preferred
- Strong background in Manufacturing and Cost Accounting
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly
- Must be available to start immediately and commit to the full contract term
