Talent Acquisition Partner

Our client provides an eLearning software that enables frontline employees to be ready for anything with a training and communications solution that actually works. In order to achieve their ambitious growth milestone for 2022, they have released a Talent Acquisition Partner position.

This person will play a pivotal role in proactive sourcing and creatively attracting exceptional candidates into their talent funnel, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience throughout all stages of the process.

This role works collaboratively with the People & Culture Business Partners and hiring managers throughout the organization, generating and maintaining a pipeline of talent to fill a variety of positions including roles such as Infrastructure Developers, Full Stack Developers, Software Developers, and Product Designers.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years direct recruitment experience, ideally with 2+ years recruitment experience in a SaaS, startup/scaleup environment.
  • 2+ years direct recruitment experience sourcing and hiring software developers/engineers and QA analysts/engineers and have a deep understanding of the Canadian tech industry.
  • You understand and can articulate best practices and legal requirements for attraction, interviewing, and employment hiring in Canada.
  • No stone is left unturned as you navigate an interesting and creative solution to finding the best candidate for a role.
  • Your goal is to create a wide search that diversifies the talent pool and reduces barriers that often exist for historically racialized and marginalized individuals.
  • You get just as excited about planning as well as tactical doing. You can think big but have awareness of the impact of little details.

What you will do:

  • Manage the full talent acquisition cycle with a focus on technical and business/corporate roles. Most hiring roles will be based in Canada, however, some roles may be located in the USA and UK markets, as needed.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand the team's talent acquisition needs and specifics of each role by asking questions and providing solutions based on previous experience.
  • Creatively draft job postings using captivating language that captures the essence of the role and will grab candidates' interest.
  • Use alternative and innovative sourcing solutions to find exceptional candidates with a focus on diversifying the applicant pool.
  • Plan and support attraction events that market the employer brand.
  • Schedule interviews and maintain constant contact with selected candidates & ensure accurate candidate records using their Applicant Tracking System.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates through prospecting, networking, candidate referrals, and other creative solutions for active and passive role openings.
  • Provide feedback on the hiring process and strategies where inefficiencies can be improved.

Things to enjoy:

  • An impactful product that gives back to the communities and frontline workers that support our everyday lives.
  • A diverse group that celebrates unique perspectives and experiences that add richness to our culture.
  • Leaders that trust deeply who leverage our skills, adapt to us as individuals, and encourage us to be our best selves.
  • Flexible work hours towards the 37.5-hour workweek. Take your pick from Mac over PC because they want you to have the equipment that you are comfortable with. Their Flexible Holiday Program supports you to take the days off that matter to you.
  • Continued professional growth including an annual $1,000 Professional Growth Spending account.
  • Wellbeing that supports lives away from work.
