Join a global luxury retail group as an HR Operations Manager, leading HR Shared Services and ensuring operational excellence across HR systems, data management, and daily HR processes. In this key role, you will oversee HRIS (Workday), strengthen operational efficiency, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, improve processes, and deliver high-quality HR support across multiple brands in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of HR Shared Services across HR operations, HRIS management, data accuracy, process optimization, and issue resolution.
- Oversee and utilize Workday to strengthen HR operations and improve workflow efficiency.
- Deliver end-to-end transactional HR services and daily operational support to brand HR teams.
- Manage daily HR processes while driving initiatives that enhance operational quality and continuous improvement.
- Lead HR operational projects, including the implementation of new processes and improvement initiatives.
- Create and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for HR operations initiatives.
- Develop HR team capability through effective delegation, setting performance expectations, and building HR functional expertise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Minimum 8 years of HR experience and strong HR operations background.
- Hands-on experience with Workday.
- Understanding of HR policies, HR operations, and Japanese employment laws.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with strong advisory and influencing skills.
- Proven project management skills with success in leading and completing HR projects.
- Proactive, independent, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in luxury retail, FMCG, or multinational organizations.
- Experience supporting HR transformation or HRSS optimization initiatives.
