Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to define and execute hiring strategies for AI and data roles across Japan and global markets
- Lead and support end-to-end talent acquisition activities, including workforce planning, sourcing strategy, and pipeline management
- Provide market insights, talent mapping, and benchmarking to support hiring, retention, and workforce decisions
- Collaborate with regional and global HR partners on performance management, succession planning, and career development initiatives
- Analyze and consolidate HR and talent data to deliver actionable insights and enable data-driven decision-making
- Support employee engagement, organizational communication, and culture-building initiatives across regions
- Contribute to global HR projects and ensure alignment between local and global people strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in talent acquisition, recruiting programs, or HR project roles within a fast-paced or technology-driven environment
- Exposure to workforce planning, hiring strategy, and pipeline management for specialized or hard-to-hire roles
- Experience partnering with business leaders on people-related initiatives
- Ability to analyze and interpret HR or talent data to support hiring and retention decisions
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across functions and regions
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset suited to dynamic environments
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority
- Collaborative team player comfortable working across cultures and time zones
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Fluent (daily communication in a global environment)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience beyond talent acquisition, such as talent development, total rewards, or organizational development
- Experience working with cross-cultural or cross-regional teams
- Understanding of Japan labor law and local HR practices
- Advanced data analysis skills or experience using HR analytics tools
- Background supporting AI, data, or engineering organizations
