Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support business transformation and rapid scaling.
- Design agile organizational structures and human capital systems aligned with global workforce trends and AI-driven innovation.
- Lead the cross-border integration of HR operations between Japan and the United States, establishing unified global HR standards.
- Oversee global HR infrastructure including performance management, compensation frameworks, and talent development systems.
- Develop HR policies ensuring global consistency while maintaining regional legal compliance and cultural alignment.
- Drive global recruitment strategies to scale engineering and technical teams across international markets.
- Strengthen the company's employer brand to attract high-caliber talent in Japan and overseas.
- Lead and mentor a multifunctional HR team of approximately 30 members, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic leadership to resolve complex organizational challenges and lead mission-critical HR initiatives.
- Implement data-driven employee engagement programs to strengthen retention and organizational commitment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of corporate HR experience, including at least 5 years in senior HR leadership roles.
- Proven experience leading HR strategy across the full HR lifecycle from planning to execution.
- Demonstrated experience working within multinational or global organizations.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with the ability to solve complex organizational challenges proactively.
- Strong leadership capability with experience guiding large teams through organizational change and growth.
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, global business environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native or near-native level (JLPT N1 equivalent)
- English: Business level or above for international collaboration
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading organizations through rapid workforce expansion and scaling.
- Experience managing cross-border HR operations between Japan and global markets, particularly the U.S.
- Strong experience in HR analytics and data-driven decision making.
- Experience implementing AI or advanced technologies within HR operations.
- Experience leading HR integration or Post-Merger Integration (PMI) initiatives.
