Legal & Compliance Officer

Job Description

We have a brand-new opportunity for a Legal & Compliance Officer to join a team in the centre of Leeds. We are looking for an individual with a legal background combined with compliance experience.

Salary: £30k - £35k

Location: Hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home - flexible)

Parking available

Days / hours: Monday- Friday 9:00-5:30pm with 1h lunch

Legal & Compliance Officer duties:

• Develop compliance checklists and compliance reports
• Prepare compliance documents for statutory, legal and regulatory purposes
• Design, develop and manage compliance checklists, reports and monitoring programmes
• Undertake general administrative tasks
• Review marketing materials, websites and presentations (including new employee induction programmes) to ensure compliance with regulations

The ideal Legal & Compliance Officer will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Law OR a minimum of 3 years compliance experience
• High attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Brilliant organisational skills
• Quick learner
