CAD/CAM Offline Programmer

You will be responsible for creating and optimising offline CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for advanced milling and turning machines, ensuring components are produced to extremely tight tolerances across a range of metals and engineering polymers.
Working closely with engineering, production, and quality teams, you will help deliver efficient, high-quality machining processes that support new product introduction and ongoing production.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimise CNC programs for milling and turning machines using CAD/CAM software

Interpret technical drawings, 3D models, and engineering specifications

Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies

Machine precision components from metals such as stainless steel, titanium, and aluminium, as well as engineering polymers

Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to support production efficiency

Continuously improve cycle times, surface finish, and tool life

Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance

Maintain accurate documentation of machining programs and process improvements
Requirements

Proven experience as a CAD/CAM Programmer in a precision manufacturing environment

Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidCAM, HyperMill, Esprit, or similar

Strong understanding of CNC machining (milling and/or turning)

Experience machining to tight tolerances (±0.02mm or better)

Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
-
Experience working with metals and engineering polymers
