Morgan McKinley is pleased to be supporting our Cwmbran based client in the recruitment for a Financial Controller.
This Financial Controller role is a chance to work for an incredibly exciting, successful, and resilient company. It is a Financial Controller role that will involve working with the Finance Director to drive the business forward.
This Financial Controller role includes and certainly is not limited to:
- Delivering effective and efficient processes, reporting and governance to the group Identifying issues, corrective actions, risks, opportunities and recommendations for action.
- Responsibility for budgeting and forecasting, ensuring all processes are subject to continuous review and improvement.
- Accurate and timely reporting of monthly and annual financial results.
- Deliver both historic and forward-looking analysis, risk assessment (including key ratios and
- covenant tests, as appropriate) and recommendations for action, where appropriate.
- Leadership of the finance team to meet workload demands and deadlines through a culture of support, can-do and innovation.
- Reconciliation and accurate reporting of monthly revenue, cash and balance sheet.
- Review and approval of the balance sheet and other reconciliations prepared by the finance team.
- Coordination of forecast data collection, monthly forecasts and other strategic analytics- to
- support business decisions.
- Advise and input to decision-support of bids, new strategies/business development opportunities through business case development, modelling and due diligence exercises etc.
- Budget preparation and annual/period planning support.
- Supporting and contributing to data analysis for the business and customer specific requirements, including taking a lead role in contract management reviews.
- Statutory accounts, returns and tax pack preparation.
- Liaising with external advisors and coordination of the audit process
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA
- Technical accounting experience
- Previous team management experience
- Strong excel skills
- Good understanding of transactional finance
The package:
- Salary - £70,000 per annum
- This role does require 5 days in the office
- Parking on site
