Roles/Responsibilities
- Negotiate, execute, and monitor capital market investments, especially in Japan and the Asia Pacific region.
- Lead legal negotiations for structured equity-linked financing, managing NDAs and deal confirmations.
- Collaborate with legal teams and manage external law firms to ensure compliance and smooth deal execution.
- Provide legal oversight to the investment team, offering guidance on legal risks and compliance.
- Spearhead long-term projects and introduce novel legal concepts for future negotiations.
- Manage resources effectively, prioritizing high-impact activities across multiple concurrent projects.
Required skills
- Japan-qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in capital markets transactions.
- Expertise in structured equity-linked financing, with experience in Japan and other regions.
- Proven ability to manage negotiations, execute deals, and expand investment categories.
Preferred skills
- Experience in launching new products and entering new jurisdictions.
- Strategic project management and strong advocacy skills
