Join a global technology leader as a Patent Litigation, Contracts, and Licensing Specialist, supporting complex patent disputes, licensing negotiations, and contract management. In this role, you will align technical and legal strategies to strengthen group-wide IP dispute readiness, negotiate impactful settlements, and help shape global IP frameworks in collaboration with cross-border teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze patents, products, and services in dispute cases (infringement, validity, essentiality).
- Coordinate technical and legal strategies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead settlement negotiations and draft related agreements.
- Manage group-wide litigation and licensing strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Patent litigation, dispute resolution, licensing, or contract negotiations.
- Strong English proficiency (TOEIC 800+ or equivalent) for dispute-related communication.
- Knowledge of software, control systems, or related technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic negotiator with technical and legal acumen; strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent (for contracts, disputes, and regulatory compliance).
- English: Fluent (for cross-border negotiations and international litigation).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience handling litigation/disputes in the U.S. or Europe.
- Knowledge and experience with standard essential patent (SEP) disputes.
- Technical background in wireless communications or video codecs.
- Experience coordinating disputes across multiple group companies.
