In this key role, you will lead strategic improvement initiatives at the site level, aligning global standards with local manufacturing operations. You'll spearhead high-impact projects, track KPIs, support site transformation, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the site's continuous improvement roadmap aligned with global business goals
- Manage transformation projects, operational frameworks, and best practice implementation
- Monitor and report key performance indicators and risk assessments to global leadership
- Deliver training on Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and other structured improvement tools
- Maintain project pipelines, tracking systems, and governance protocols
- Contribute to annual operational planning and strategy review sessions
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and site leadership to drive performance in safety, quality, and productivity
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline, with additional certification in continuous improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- 5+ years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or transformation within a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership in driving cross-functional initiatives and aligning site actions with global strategy
Soft Skills:
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Deep understanding of production processes, compliance protocols, and plant operations
- Ability to design and lead training programs in a multicultural workplace
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Fluent
- English: Basic to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing industries
- Familiarity with global enterprise systems for quality, compliance, or operational metrics
- Background in corporate change management or coaching
