Roles/Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for new business development, including service design and drafting terms of use.
- Handle external partnerships and M&A activities.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as the Payment Services Act, Installment Sales Act, and Money Lending Business Act.
- Address consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Contract Act and the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.
- Draft and review various contracts and legal documents.
- Engage with internal teams to support the development and release of new services.
- Collaborate with group companies to address legal issues and contribute to business strategies.
Required skills
- Law degree or equivalent experience in corporate law (minimum 3 years).
- Native proficiency in Japanese and basic English skills.
- Strong interest in startups and business development phases.
Preferred skills
- Experience in legal matters related to cashless payments, crypto-assets, blockchain, and Fintech.
- Experience with legal issues concerning digital content transactions, including NFTs.
- Background in credit business law and consumer protection regulations.
