Roles/Responsibilities
- Draft and review a variety of contracts (sales, finance, HR, etc.) in both Japanese and English, tailoring them to meet specific business needs.
- Navigate commercial disputes by negotiating terms and conditions with stakeholders and updating contract templates.
- Handle corporate governance, including preparing documents for shareholder and board meetings and maintaining legal compliance with Japanese company laws.
- Offer onsite HR support, addressing employment-related legal issues and participating in labor tribunals.
- Conduct legal training for employees, focusing on compliance with trade secrets and conflict of interest policies.
Required skills
- Proven expertise in Japanese civil, commercial, and company laws.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to providing legal solutions.
- High proficiency in English, capable of communicating effectively with headquarters and handling legal documentation needs.
