This is an expansion role covering a wide range of legal matters across existing businesses, new business launches, compliance frameworks, and regulatory issues. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for existing services, modifications, and new business launches.
- Draft, review, and structure contracts aligned with business strategy and growth.
- Advise and negotiate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve legal issues.
- Support compliance programs, risk assessments, and regulatory matters.
- Potential secondment opportunities to group companies or assignments within corporate legal.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Practical legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks independently with a proactive approach.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Fluent (required for contract drafting and regulatory compliance).
- English: Fluent (required for internal collaboration and global contract review).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Background in internet, e-commerce, or digital services sectors.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory engagement.
- Experience in M&A transactions or litigation support.
